**About the role**

Mater’s Digital Technology and Information team currently have an exciting opportunity to join the team as an **Automation Specialist** in a **permanent full time capacity.**

**Salary range: $57.87 - $61.99 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and **access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900** + **access to many staff benefits

**What you’ll be doing**

This role will assist in developing Testing as a Service function at an operational level in the integrated operation of complex enterprise information systems to achieve defined service levels and will aid other business area solutions as part of a multi skilled team.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

- Demonstrated experience in supporting the test processes within the Software Development Lifecycle via maintenance and promotion of relevant testing and test automation standards and procedures.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of contemporary sophisticated technical testing solutions associated with automation.
- Experience with integration and messaging protocols such as HL7, XML, HTTP(S), and REST.
- Demonstrated experience in effective communication and well developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving and well-developed conceptual and analytical skills.
- Liaises with ICT infrastructure team and service stakeholders to ensure the smooth delivery of testing.
- Manages design and implementation of user acceptance testing routines
- Effectively manages multiple and changing priorities with sometimes conflicting deadlines.
- Qualification in an Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or related area

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

- Experience in a health care information technology environment.
- Experience in test automation tools such as UiPath is highly desirable.
- Additionally experience in a variety of test automation tools such as Tosca, Selenium, Ranorex Studio, jMeter, and SoapUI.
- Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health, and how these impact on employment and service delivery.
- Independently coordinate testing and automation for small to medium projects such as system upgrades, new configuration, and system integration and business efficiency improvement initiatives.
- Experience with Azure DevOps for test management
- Experience or strong working knowledge in Java / Python, YAML, C#.NET.
