**Eligibility**

**Division Responsibilities**
approve new medicines and biologicals for supply in Australia. MRD also has responsibility
for ongoing monitoring of medicines approved for supply in Australia to ensure they
continue to maintain an appropriate level of quality, safety and efficacy following entry into
the Australian marketplace.

**Branch Responsibilities**
The Prescription Medicines Authorisation Branch (PMAB) is one of five branches of MRD and
new uses of prescription medicines and other variations to prescription medicines currently
registered in the ARTG.

Through evaluating the pre-market clinical aspects of prescription medicines, and with
advice from other branches in the TGA, PMAB helps facilitate the supply of prescription
medicines that are safe for their intended use, efficacious and available in a timely manner.

**Section Responsibilities**
The Business Systems Review and Reporting (BSRR) section provides a range of services that
support the registration of prescription medicines in Australia.

Key responsibilities of the section include producing transparency related documents
including the Australian Public Assessment Report (AusPAR), coordinating external advice
and the Advisory Committee on Medicines (ACM) and Advisory Committee on Vaccines
reporting.***

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Secretariat support for expert advisory committee meetings, including drafting
- agenda papers and compiling supporting documents.
