**What You Will Be Doing**

The Social Work Clinical Educator - Mental Health will become an integral member of the education and clinical leadership teams. This position has been funded for 12 months by the Victorian Department of Health and Wellbeing to assist in the development and implementation of a new Allied Health and Nursing Transition to Mental Health Practice Positions aligned to Royal Commission into Victoria’s Public Mental Health Services recommendations.

The Social Work Clinical Educator will work closely with the Senior Social Worker to ensure best-practice competency-based learning, supervision and evaluation are provided to 2 social workers transitioning to the mental health practice space after at least 2 years of professional practice in a related field. To support the development of this program the successful applicant will have access to a monthly facilitated community of practice with allied health clinical educators across the state along with robust learning structures, resources and plans aligned to the Victorian Mental Health and Wellbeing Workforce Capability Framework.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Social work qualification and eligibility for membership with the AASW.
- Current and extensive experience working within a tertiary public mental health service.
- Prior experience in teaching or supporting learners.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-direction.

**Additional Requirements**

The successful applicant will need to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check (this will be at your own cost)
