**Concord Hospital is seeking a Provisional Fellow in Nephrology to undertake Clinical Research**
**What you'll be doing**
The primary purpose of the role is to provide effective clinical management of patients and participants of clinical trials in Nephrology, under appropriate supervision, whilst developing expertise in clinical trials, medical practice, in and outpatient care in a complex clinical environment. This role is involved in Clinical Research within the Concord Kidney Centre and will work on ongoing Nephrology research projects. All patients managed within the hospitals of the health service are under the direct care of a specialist medical practitioner. All decisions regarding their care are to be clearly communicated with the specialist responsible for that care.

Concord Repatriation General Hospital is a principal referral facility and a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney. Major services include geriatrics and rehabilitation medicine, cardiology, neurology and neurosurgery, colorectal and laparoscopic surgery, gastroenterology, bone and joint services, cancer services, haematology, respiratory medicine and sleep studies, molecular biology and genetics, and those provided through the internationally acknowledged Statewide Burns Service, in which Concord plays a major part.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care
- Demonstrated high level communication skills, including the ability to convey, and adapt verbal and written information to a clinical and non-clinical audience.
- Demonstrated good organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Demonstrated high level independent clinical skills and judgement, with the ability to make sound decisions and problem solve with an awareness of limitations and ability to learn independently and modify behaviour accordingly.
- Previous experience in and willingness to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.
- Demonstrated commitment to a career path in Nephrology, including ongoing research across multiple nephrology specialties and medical education. Additionally, a proven interest in and dedication to further education and research within the field of Nephrology is essential.
