**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**:
We are seeking an experienced, motivated Deputy to directly contribute to the safety and operational functions of the mine.
Applicants must have a commitment to working safely, be a self-starter, pro-active, results orientated and focused on maintaining the high standards in place at the mine.
Reporting to the Shift Undermanager, some of the responsibilities for the Deputy will include:
- Manage, plan and organize resources for your area of responsibility
- Maintaining and enforce regulations, standards and systems of work developed for the mine to deliver a safe and productive crew performance; and
- Work closely with the Engineering team to ensure all aspects of maintenance operations are implemented to maximize equipment availability.
**Skills and Experience**:
To be successful you will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years in front line leadership role
- Proven commitment to safety
- Sound knowledge of the Coal Mining Health & Safety legislation.
Your skills and experience will be complimented by the following qualifications:
- Certificate of Competence (Deputy) or equivalent
