Contracts Manager

Our client is a leading Defence SME in advanced lighting, electronics and e-storage systems and is working closely with a large Naval prime for the continual upgrade and expansion of the Royal Australian Navy fleet and its critical military systems. They currently have an exciting job opportunity to be based in their office in Lonsdale, SA for a Senior Contracts Manager position on a permanent full-time basis.

**The role**:

- Ensure the identification of opportunities to minimise contract risk and coordinate commercial risk mitigation measures.
- Ensure company is managing contract commercially in accordance with requirements
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of defence ASDEFCON contract management
- Ability to work alongside internal and external commercial legal teams to ensure delivery to customers is prioritised.
- Manage the contract management system of record and tracking all contracts, approvals, storage of fully executed defence contracts.
- Manage the Australian Industry Content (AIC) reporting and sub-contracting arrangements supported by the Commercial Manager and external legal support team when required.

**Requirements**:

- Qualifications in either Finance, business, IT, Paralegal, English, Commercial or related fields.
- At least 5 years working with ASDEFCON contracts as a contracts manager or similar.
- Experience in managing contract information, creation, project controls, risk management within a critical environment (i.e. construction, defence, IT, finance, etc...)
- Australian Citizenship with ability to gain an NV1 security clearance. (Must have)
