**Role accountabilitie**:
Ensure a clean and safe environment for fish including:
- Undertake routine checks and advise leading hand/manager on site any adjustments required to maintain required standards that ensure fish welfare.
- Routine cleaning of tanks and pens.
- Retrieving mortalities.
- Flushing water systems.
- Undertaking routine water quality system monitoring and coordinating water samples.
Provide fish feed as directed by site leading hands and site managers.
Monitor and screen fish performance by sampling fish and conducting weight checks.
Maintain safe and orderly site, office, and laboratory environments.
Demonstrate a high attention to detail when undertaking data entry, reporting and general documentation as required to capture administrative and technical notes.
Any other duties or tasks as reasonably directed by Huon Aquaculture.
**To be successful in this role**
- Preference to previous experience within a similar focused role, and/or relevant qualification.
- Current drivers licence and ability and willingness to travel intra and interstate as required.
- Effective time management and the ability and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships within team to work collaboratively, as well as demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
- An eye for detail and proactive focus to continually improve processes.

Pay: $73,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
