If so, we want you to join our team** The HSE Lead will focus on the risk management culture of the organisation, review training risk profiles, and act as the champion of Sodexo’s Safety Net, CRM and Bowtie processes. The position will facilitate level 2 risk assessments, undertake risk register reviews, undertake contractor assessments, contractor HSE assessments and support operations by providing technical support and advice. The position will review the incident escalations including documents such as Quickshares, Life Safety Incidents, Safety Alerts, Safety Walks and Observations. **Your responsibilities will include**: - Influence site management on HSEQ policies to ensure risk management is a value conveyed to all personnel; - Focus on the risk management culture of the organisation through effective evaluating leadership and elimination of inconsistent practices; - Promote Our Safety Culture, setting high standards, communicating openly, confronting risk and involving the workforce; - Assess competency training risk profiles against company and industry standards; - Communicate legislative requirements that impact stakeholders within the business; - Act as a champion for implementing HSE tools including Sodexo’s Safety Net, CRM and Bowtie assessments; - Facilitate level 2 risk assessments and undertake risk register reviews; - Update risk registers following the identification of significant incidents and trends; - Undertake contractor assessments and report on compliance within Rapid; - Champion on site coaching and mentoring with site leads in business risk management tools; - Support Site Managers by providing technical support, advice and assistance on risk management/ related queries; - Review the implementation of operational activities within the HSEQ Management Plan; - Determine the risk category of incidents with relevant stakeholders, determining the category of investigation required; - Review incident categories with stakeholders determining whether Quickshare, Life Safety Incidents or Safety Alerts are communicating those requirements to relevant personnel; - Review Safety Walks and Observation criticality, appropriateness and collaborate/ coach personnel as required; **Who are we looking for?** We’re looking for someone who will provide continual improvement by driving strategies and initiatives to prevent workplace incidents. **Qualifications** To be successful, you’ll need**: - Australian citizenship or full Australian working rights - Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing - 5 years’ experience in the safety industry or similar discipline - Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety - Current WA Manual Driver's license - Understanding of legal health and safety guidelines - Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies - Excellent organizational and motivational skills - Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability - Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities **Additional Information** Why choose Sodexo?** Sodexo is a people business, employing over half a million people worldwide and thousands here in Australia.
