**About the role**:
Care for a swim? What about a meal and a beer at the pub? And getting paid for it? We are currently seeking experienced Community Care Assistants who can share an active and fun lifestyle with our client by helping keep her body and mind active - AND - who can also be relied upon for the more serious work like lending a hand with personal and monetary matters.

We require carers who have experience working with clients who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who require specialised care and support around the clock.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Experience in Alzheimer’s Care**: Practical experience in handling the needs of Alzheimer’s patients is critical.
- **Empathy and Patience**: Essential for understanding and supporting the unique challenges faced by individuals with Alzheimer’s.
- **Active and Fun Lifestyle**: Engaging the client in activities that stimulate both the body and mind can greatly enhance their well-being.
- **Trustworthiness and Reliability**: Important for managing personal and monetary matters with integrity.
- **Flexibility and Adaptability**: Necessary for responding to the varied and sometimes unpredictable needs of the client.
- **Hours**: Must be available to work Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12.00 noon to 7.00pm.

**About you**:

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability) or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working with individuals’ various levels of support required.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance or willingness to undertake one.
- Valid Victorian Driver License and own reliable vehicle.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanour.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $35.00 - $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Penalty rates
