We are currently seeking a Borer Operator/Trades Assistant to join our Heathwood team. The role will require regular intrastate travel.

**About the role**

The primary purpose of this role is to partner with our delivery crews across the state and undertake the construction and maintenance of electricity distribution networks through the safe & effective operation of associated plant and equipment.
- Provide assistance and plant operation support to electrical line workers for contracts associated with the Energy Queensland (Ergon Energy) distribution network. Duties include but are not limited to operating lifter borer plant to assist with the installation, maintenance, testing, commissioning, final handover of distribution infrastructure and other physical/manual labouring tasks including use of tools, small plant and equipment
- Undertake the construction and maintenance of electricity distribution networks in accordance with Company Policies, Quality Systems and HSE procedures as well as statutory requirements
- Support various crews throughout the state in safely upgrading and maintaining the network

**About you**
- C2 High Risk Work Licence (preferably with live line authorisation to operate on the Energy Queensland Network)
- HR drivers licence
- Elevated Work Platform/Forklift licence (highly desirable)
- Experience working with live line (preferred but not essential) and LV distribution crews
- Previous Ergon experience would be highly regarded
- Experience working in high-risk environments.
- Demonstrated ability to recognise and solve problems in the workplace
- Be willing to travel across the State
- Proven ability to work productively as part of a team, in a fast paced and changing workplace.
