We are recruiting for the above role with our client in Melbourne.

Our client, a well-established model design company in Melbourne is looking for a confident and qualified Industrial Designer to join and support their operation.

Who We Are:
Invenio is a leading business solutions company who have been well established within the Australian Engineering Industry and Services since 1990. Invenio has a history of partnering up with a range of companies from industry leading OEMS small innovative start ups to provide recruitment, engineering and software support.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop digital models & geometry using Solidworks
- Create concept sketches, product illustrations, technical diagrams, drawings and design specifications
- Conceptualise ideas and provide project deliverables
- Adapt designs where required to meet budget requirements, production methods, client specifications, changes in project timelines etc.
- Conduct project research and collect packaging and product samples to support project briefs
- Assist with and participate in ideation sessions, with internal and external customers.
- Consult with packaging engineers, graphic designers, marketing, operations, sales, NPD managers and the end customer to develop packaging design concepts

Qualifications & Experience Required
- Industrial design qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an industrial design role, ideally in a manufacturing business
- Strong understanding of Sheet metal processes
- Prior exposure to development & research - understanding of marketing, consumer insights and trends
- Excellent communication and ability to vocalise ideas
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
