**About your new opportunity**:
As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Property Managers in overseeing the company's property portfolio. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to both tenants and property owners, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day property operations, and assisting with various administrative tasks. This position provides an excellent opportunity for professionals seeking to develop their skills and progress in the real estate industry.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist the Property Manager in managing and maintaining properties within the company's portfolio
- Handle property inquiries from potential tenants and schedule property viewings
- Conduct thorough tenant screenings, including reference checks and credit assessments
- Prepare and process leasing documents, including rental agreements and condition reports
- Coordinate property inspections and rental maintenance requests
- Address tenant concerns and resolve any disputes in a timely manner
- Handle rent collection and ensure financial obligations are met by tenants
- Assist with marketing efforts to attract quality tenants, including listing properties online and participating in open houses
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date property records, ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations
- Provide administrative support to the Property Manager, including record keeping, data entry, and managing correspondence
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a real estate or property management role is highly desirable but not essential
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and handle client relations effectively
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient computer skills - experience with property management software (e.g., PropertyTree, PropertyMe) desirable
- A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- A current agent's license OR an agent's representative license (not essential but beneficial)
- A positive attitude, self-motivation, and a commitment to maintaining a high level of professionalism
- A passion for the real estate industry and willingness to learn and grow within the company
