**Position Summary**:
A vacancy exists in the above unit for a highly motivated Clinical Research Co-ordinator with appropriate knowledge and skills to join our friendly and supportive team. The position of Clinical Research coordinator involves the management of as

signed clinical trials and research within the HCRU at The Kinghorn Cancer Centre. As a resource for assigned research projects, the Clinical Research Coordinator is required to case manage patients undergoing care within a research project, ensure data collections is in compliance with the Protocol, Good Clinical Practice, Australian regulations and privacy laws. The Clinical Research Coordinator will work as part of a team to improve access to research investment for patients and the Institution through high quality research practice and data management.

The vacancy is open to Australian citizens, New Zealand citizens who hold a valid New Zealand passport, Australian permanent residents and those non-residents deemed by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship to be eligible to work in Australia only.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent’s Health Australia.
- Holds relevant tertiary qualifications in a health-related discipline eg. Nursing and/or equivalent work experience/understanding of clinical research
- Clinical research experience with prior experience or interest in education and GCP trained with trials experience preferably in haematology
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and education
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and direct reports across a diverse range of community and cultural groups
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills
- High level organisation skills and an ability to prioritise tasks and projects with demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as part of a team
- Proficient computer skills demonstrated with experience with secure data management, participant trial data collection, participant organisational skills, ability to rapidly master new concepts and skills and detailed knowledge of HREC and RGO submissions
