**About The Role**
Ventia is supporting the **Defence Force’s Defence High Frequency Communication System (DHFCS)**and part of the delivery for the contract, we are seeking a **Safety Advisor.**
- The role of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Advisor is to provide professional safety, environment and quality support and advice for the** JP9101**contract**.**
- This is a **6 Month Fixed-Term** opportunity offering hybrid working from our offices in** Cremorne, VIC**

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Participation on HSE consultative committees.
- Maintain key client relationships to a high standard.
- Advise project on SHEQ issues and enquiries.
- Enter records in to Vensafe (incidents, hazards, inspections and actions).
- Maintain records in accordance to legislative requirements, workplace standards & processes.
- Preparation of SHEQ specific documentation (procedures, forms, safe work method statements, toolbox talks, SHEQ Alerts etc)
- Undertake quality assurance and in accordance with contract requirements (100% of work initially and then according to sampling requirements).
- Monitor & report on quality of works via audits, review non-conformances and take corrective action to ensure prompt closure, as per the required numbers.

**About You**
The successful applicant will have tertiary qualifications within OH&S / WHS and experience working with return to work accompanied with the following**:

- Proven work experience in WHS, environmental and or quality role, preferably within services maintenance, heavy industries or construction
- Experience in providing administrative and system support
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills

**Nice to have**:

- Auditing Qualificaitons
- ICAM Incident Investigation training
- Training in Environment and/or Quality management systems
- As part of the contract, you will need to undertake an Australian Federal Police check along with a medical.
