**Service Deli & Sushi Assistant** - Prepares, packages, and labels meals, entrees, salads, party trays, rotisserie chicken, sliced meats, and cheeses. Prepares take-and-bake pizzas. Stocks and rotates merchandise in the display case. Maintains machinery and equipment. Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers. Follows proper safety procedures and standards

**Service Deli & Sushi Assistant**:

- Dismantles equipment, washes, rinses and sanitises removable parts, equipment in Deli and Rotisserie rooms
- Inspects and reassembles equipment, addresses any corrective actions from the previous night
- Rework display case, filling and rotating merchandise
- Completes required department paperwork
- Cleans and sanitises work area throughout the day following Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) guidelines for proper cleaning and sanitation of all equipment required by this position
- Completes and complies with 11 Commandments of Quality assurance, Food Safety Certification, department specific training, and all safety training required by warehouse, service deli and rotisserie department
- Complies with health code by following sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures
- Stocks and rotates supplies in cooler/freezer
- Removes rubbish from department and work areas
- Operates rubbish compactor and cardboard baler
- Skewers and loads chicken into rotisserie ovens
- Cooks chicken as per Standard Operating Procedure
- Packages, labels and displays chicken in hot holding cabinet
- Adheres to all departments Standard Operating Procedures
- Prepares meat, poultry, cold meat, vegetables and seafood as per Standard Operating Procedures
- Assembles platters, pizzas, sushi, salads, raw meats and other items sold in the Service Deli and Rotisserie departments
- Assists with other department of the warehouse as necessary
- Provides and ensures prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees and vendors

**Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery**
- Wrapping machine, scales, pan dollies, oven racks, wheeled racks, commercial dishwasher, apricot glazer, bag sealer, product conveyor, product carts, pie press, cake slicing machine, cake scorer, spatulas, cake stamps, icing bags, tips, knives, mixer, food processor, proofing boxes, ovens, large power mixer, muffin depositor, pallet jack, pallets, flatbeds, carts, rolling ladder, EPJ/forklift, cash register, table top/hand-held scanners, computer, calculator, phone, copier

Education/Training:

- High School Certificate or higher

Licenses/Certifications:

- None required

Other Skills and Abilities:

- Bakery, stocker, or comparable experience
- Food service, food court, food handling or comparable experience
- Butchery, meat cutting, or comparable experience
- Previous food handling, food service or comparable experience
- Strong customer service, communication, interpersonal and organisation skills
- Problem solving and critical thinking
- Basic math skills

**Other specific requirements**:

- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check for certain roles
- If successful, you will be required to undertake role & department specific training within specified timeframes
