ABOUT US

Opened in February 2021, we are a 342-bedroom on-campus student accommodation facility located in the heart of Macquarie University Campus. Our Accommodation Services team manages and supports the accommodation facility, building a safe, supportive and inclusive community for our student residents so they can focus on making life-long friendships and succeed in their studies.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Residential Life Coordinator, we are seeking an organised, enthusiastic, motivated individual with the ability to deliver premium customer service and events to our student residents. This includes:
- Planning and coordinating a calendar of events aimed at fostering personal growth and academic success of our residents and a respectful culture and sense of belonging within our community.- Developing online and face to face promotional strategy for events to engage and increase participation from our residents.- Obtain feedback and satisfaction rates from residents to evaluate and review the residential life program offering for continuous improvement.- Coordinate the operational execution of events, including liaising with third party providers, set up and pack down, and instructions for event assistants.

ABOUT YOU

You are passionate about fostering a welcoming and inclusive community where students can thrive. You'll bring:
- Demonstrated skill and experience in event planning, promotions and activations.- Excellent time management and organisational skills.- Ability to engage and relate to people from diverse backgrounds with excellent intercultural communication skills.- Excellent ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.- Demonstrated experience working with social media content.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Checks: A current Working with Children Check and Criminal History Check are required.
- Flexibility: Due to the nature of this role, there may be be a requirement for work to be performed after hours and some weekends.
- Work Rights: Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
