**Ovolo Nishi** sits in the middle of New Acton arts and cultural district - an innovative precinct that has made Canberra famous for design and originality. **The Gig**

As the Hotels **Maintenance Hand Person**, you will be the go-to for any servicing or repairs the hotel may require. You will work independently, along with department managers to ensure the hotel is in top shape. This is a **Casual** position offering up to 20 hours per week and will require flexibility within your availability. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

- Consistent use of tools and equipment
- Taking all measures to ensure health and safety standards are upheld
- Converse, socialise and engage with other departments to determine needs of the hotel
- Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards
- Arrange routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobby and facilities
- Act fast in response to emergency situations
- Manage relationships and liaise with contractors & service providers
- Maintain budgets, expenses & activity logs

**About you**

We provide a fun and exciting environment and all we ask is that you give us your dedication to our brand and most importantly, your team As our Maintenance Handy Person, you will ideally have previous experience as a maintenance person in hotels or similar establishments. You will have great interpersonal skills which will allow you to build relationships with other departments, contractors and third parties. You will also bring knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and carpentry.
