**About the role**:
**Energex **have multiple **permanent **opportunities for a** Power Worker (Trade Assistant) **to join the travelling crew located in **Toowoomba**.
You will be a key contributor to the team, assisting our tradespersons with the construction, maintenance and associated activities on our overhead and underground electrical networks.
You will be part of the travelling crew therefore it is essential that you are able to work away from home. The roster is 11 days on; 3 days off.

**About you**:
Critical to your success, is your:
- Current ‘C’ class open driver licence.
- Safety observing experience and the ability to actively identify and implement risk control measures where needed.
- Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network.
- Working knowledge of Electricity Act & Regulations, Workplace Health & Safety Act and Regulations, and other relevant statutory acts & regulations.
- Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to develop good working relationships with team members and external customers. You must have the ability to identify and understand customer needs.
- Availability for call out and emergency work.
- Willingness to travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
Desirable:
- Current Heavy Rigid (HR) licence or the ability to obtain one prior to commencing.
- Current High Risk Work Licence (forklift, dogman, rigger, EWP >11m, VLC, slewing crane).
You will be required to complete a pre-employment medical as part of the selection process.
