We have several exciting trainee positions available at the Kyogle Council, for a anyone interested in starting a career in the Water and Wastewater Industry. This is an outstanding opportunity to learn and develop skills managing and maintaining, water and wastewater systems within the Kyogle Shire. **The Opportunity**
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of wastewater pump stations, sewage operations and recycled water supply assets.
- Assist in installing and maintaining water services and meters.
- Assist with routine water and wastewater testing and accurate recording of data.
- Undertake labouring duties associated with the laying of pipes, and the construction, repair, and maintenance of infrastructure.
- Pool lifeguard duties and operations, including facilities maintenance.
- Work collaboratively within a team to ensure work health and safety practices are adhered to.
- Display a positive attitude and a commitment to develop skills and knowledge relating to the Water and Wastewater industry.
- Working a 9-day fortnight.
- Positions based at Bonalbo and Woodenbong Council depots.
- Gain a nationally recognised qualification: Certificate III in Water Industry Operations.

**Who we’re looking for**
- Demonstrate effective communication skills both oral and written.
- Year 10 Higher School Certificate or equivalent, as a minimum
- Has a construction Industry White Card or the ability to obtain.
- A current drivers’ licence desirable but not essential.
- The ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Ability to perform a range of general labouring and maintenance duties.
- A commitment to the principles and practices of work health and safety.
- Ability to work as part of a small team.
- Presents a positive image of the council to the public.
- Behaviour that positively demonstrates values of respect, inclusivity, and safety.
