About us

The shed cafe is a thriving coffee heaven known for our commitment to serving the finest coffee and providing an exceptional customer experience. we are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join our team and contribute to the warm and inviting atmosphere that sets us apart.

Key Responsibilities:

- prepare and serve a variety of coffee and expresso-based beverages with precision and care.
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, ensuring their needs are meet.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including regular equipment maintenance and cleaning.
- Operate and maintain expresso machines, grinders and other coffee equipments.
- Handle cash transaction accurately and efficiently, providing correct change and processing payments.
- Prepare and serve food items such as pastries, sandwiches, and snacks.
- Keep track of inventory and restock supplies as needed.
- Ensure beverages and food meet quality and presentation standards.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow during busy periods.
- Educate customers about our coffee blends, brewing methods, and special offering.

Qualification:

- Previous Barista experience is preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly approachable demeanour.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple orders efficiently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours.
- Excellent communication skills and genuine passion for coffee.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $28.10 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

**Experience**:

- Barista: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Food handling: 1 year (preferred)
