**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide high-quality individual and group piano lessons to students of all ages and levels, ensuring progression and a structured curriculum for all students.
- Develop professional lesson plans tailored to each student’s unique goals and progress.
- Cultivate a positive and inspiring learning environment that encourages students to embrace music as a lifestyle.
- Support studio events and recitals, and ensuring student readiness.
- Communicate with students and parents about progress and goals (in, or after class).
- Collaborate with studio management to ensure that your teaching needs and resources are met, including feedback on studio improvements and strategies for student engagement.
- Contribute ideas to help improve the studio’s overall operations and growth, creating an even more dynamic and rewarding environment for both students and teacher.
- Teach 10 or more students to be eligible for a potential $10/hour increase in pay to reward dedication and success in the studio.
- Be involved in creating and sharing engaging social media content, including reels, to promote the studio and showcase student progress and performances.
- Stay up-to-date with current teaching methods and trends to continually improve your approach.

You'll be supported in this role, all scheduling, student payment and communication will be handed by the admin.

**Work Hours and Schedule**:

- Flexible working hours based on class schedules and student availability.
- Availability to teach during peak lesson times, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends as needed.
- Occasional involvement in creation of social media reels, event and concert participation outside of regular teaching hours.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in teaching piano, with a strong understanding of music theory and technique.
- A degree in music, education, or related field (preferred, but not required).
- Familiarity with AMEB exams or equivalent.
- Experience teaching groups and bands.
- Comfortable with coming up with content ideas for social media platforms, particularly reels.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Have AMEB grade 6 or equivalent playing ability on the piano.
- Teaching experience.
- Be able to reliably travel to/from the school.
- A passion for music and teaching, with the ability to inspire students of all ages.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a fun, engaging, and nurturing environment for students.
- A commitment to maintaining a professional and organised teaching environment.
