Comtex is seeking a Trainee/Apprentice Electronic Security Technician to join our team. You will have an interest in electronics/computer networking and have an enthusiastic approach to learning new technologies and skills including cabling, installation and programming of a wide range of CCTV, access control, alarm and intercom systems.

Comtex has a large and growing team of electrical, Comms & security professionals operating in several industries & sectors, including Commercial, Government, Defence, Hazardous Facilities, Health, Transport - Rail & Motorways and Public Spaces

This role requires working with a team of technicians performing service, installation and repair work for clients all over the Sydney area, with occasional opportunities for interstate travel. You will learn from senior technicians and have the opportunity to complete factory training and certification in security systems.

Ideally you will be already enrolled (or seeking to enrol) at TAFE to study Security Systems installation.

Desirable:

- Full driving licence
- RIW/RISI cardholder
- Hold a NSW Security licence or be eligible to obtain one
- Cabling licence or experience cabling and installing conduit
- Hold a White card and EWP/boom lift licence or be able to obtain
- Be well presented, punctual, keen to learn - as you will be representing the company
- Have working knowledge of electrical circuits and a basic understanding of IP networking
- Any previous relevant experience in the industry
