**The opportunity**
- Fixed Term, Part time (0.6 or 0.8) position (2 years) based across both Youth Justice Custodial Precincts.
- VPS5 role, earning $ 113,022 - $ 136,747 per year plus super.
- Delivers evidence-based clinical assessments and interventions for staff.
- Provides psychological support, counselling, and crisis intervention, offers clinical guidance to other staff.
- Works as part of a multidisciplinary care team including case managers, youth justice workers, and behaviour support specialists.

The Staff Wellbeing Program - Clinical Practitioner works with staff only and plays a critical role in supporting staff to maintain their own well-being by providing counselling, psychological first aid, critical incident stress debriefing and innovative wellbeing strategies, in line with the YJCS Staff Wellbeing Program.

**To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in**:

- Individual counselling and critical incident stress management, using evidence based clinical frameworks.
- Developing strategies to assist and manage the personal impact of work-related stress, vicarious trauma, anxiety, depression and workplace conflict.
- Deliver group training and coaching to improve the psychological wellbeing of staff
- Ability to display a commitment to maintaining contemporary knowledge of therapeutic skills and frameworks.
- Experience working in public service or community health (desired but non
- essential)

A full driver's licence is required due to the need to be able to work flexibly across both custodial precincts, based on operational requirements.

A current employee Working with Children Check (WWCC) card is required and will need to be provided prior to commencement of employment by the applicant. Currency will need to be maintained by the employee for the period of employment.
