The teacher _(TAE_) - Chisholm Online, provides professional teaching and vocational expertise, across all aspects of delivery, planning and performance to ensure excellent outcomes for learners, the organisations that employ them and the communities they serve.

This position reports to the Education Manager and focuses on excellence in planning and conducting teaching and assessment. The role also includes resource development and educational administration.

The incumbent is a key and active participant of the Chisholm Online business area and works to promote educational excellence, business growth and student-centred services for the Chisholm Online team.

**As a teacher, your key responsibilities include**:

- Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners
- Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology, including Moodle, to engage learners and meet their needs and learning styles
- Proactively support the effective use of Chisholm Online learning resources and meet student needs
- Assess and correct student work in accordance with the Chisholm Online guidelines and standards
- Identify and deliver appropriate teaching, learning and assessment strategies for a range of learner needs across all courses within the Training and Learning discipline area
- Manage the learning process, including student and preparation of student learning plans
- Provide a well-developed range of teaching strategies to TAFE students and other clients both within and external to Chisholm Online

You are a highly motivated individual with
- Advanced literacy and numeracy skills applicable to the position
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and guide students to optimise their learning outcomes
- Effective verbal and written communication skills relevant to a learning environment and collaborative workplace
- Proven ability to complete administrative tasks on a timely basis
- Proven ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with stakeholders from a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds
- Well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools
- Strong understanding of contemporary approaches to education, teaching and learning
- Ability to identify challenges in a learning environment and effectively resolve these
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging program materials and training sessions

**Qualifications required for the role**:

- Diploma in VET Practice or qualifications that meet the RTO Standards
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122)
- Teachers must be vocationally competent, current, and able to teach all courses offered within their primary discipline area
- Vocational currency as demonstrated through a range of work and related experience
- A record of Vocational Competency, mapped to Units of Competency engaged to deliver
- A record of Professional Currency, demonstrating current industry and teaching knowledge
