**Position Information**:
Fairy Meadow Demonstration School ( 391 students P-6) is a dynamic learning environment in the Wollongong Principal Network consisting of 13 mainstream classes, five support classes and a preschool. 23% of students enrolled at Fairy Meadow Demonstration School are from a language background other than English. 27 students across K-6 identify as Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander. Our school works collaboratively and productively within the Keira Community of Schools and is proud of our long association with the University of Wollongong.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary with proven capacity to effectively balance the dual role of an exemplary classroom teacher and the complexities of a leadership role.

Proven ability to lead and model high quality literacy and numeracy pedagogy, informed by current research, deep curriculum knowledge and data analysis.

Highly visible and collaborative leadership with the capacity to build and enhance positive partnerships that strengthen educational and wellbeing outcomes for students.

Demonstrated ability to inspire, mentor and build the capacity of a diverse range of teachers across the school, including experienced and early career teachers.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
