**About the Role**
- Manage day-to-day inquiries, referrals, and waitlists for mental health support services.
- Build positive rapport with participants, carers, referrers, and stakeholders.
- Provide administrative and operational support to ensure smooth service delivery of the Medicare Mental Health Centre.
- Support individuals with moderate to severe mental health concerns and complex life circumstances.
- Deliver non-clinical, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented support.
- Play a key role in connecting participants with appropriate internal and external services.
- Support data management, appointment scheduling, and record-keeping.
- Assist with community outreach, group facilitation, and community engagement activities.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary mental health team.
- Support Communify’s inclusive, peer-informed, strengths-based service model.
**Role criteria**
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in the Community Services/Mental Health Sector
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of administrative practices, procedures and processes
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across multiple modalities
- Demonstrated ability to be confident, articulate and empathetic when working with participants who experience challenges with their mental health
- Confidence and ability to support the planning and facilitation of groups if needed
- Demonstrated ability to contribute as part of a team to provide a safe, equitable and rewarding workplace
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, set priorities, and meet deadlines, accompanied by an ability to handle a number of tasks concurrently with minimum supervision
**Desirable criteria**
- Experience facilitating or supporting the facilitation of groups interactions
- Experience and knowledge around trauma informed, strength based, recovery oriented frameworks
- Applicants with a lived experience as an individual or carer are strongly encouraged to apply
**Additional requirements**
- A current open QLD driver’s license.
- Working with Children card and Working with People with a Disability check (or the ability to obtain one) is mandatory.

**About Communify’s Medicare Mental Health Centre**
Communify’s Medicare Mental Health Centres (MMHC) are safe and welcoming spaces that provide high-quality mental health supports delivered by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals and people with a lived experience of mental health. Funded by Brisbane North PHN, the centres provide free, integrated support over extended hours for individuals with moderate to severe mental health concerns and complex life circumstances, as well as support for careers and families.
A key element of Communify’s Medicare Mental Health Centres integrated service delivery is our psychosocial program, which delivers high-quality support to those whose complex mental health concerns have a significant impact on daily life and wellbeing. Communify’s MMHC psychosocial program provides support for up to 12 months to eligible participants with a strong focus on delivering recovery-oriented services in participants’ communities.
