**Calling all Sports Coaches / Umpires**

Maitland Indoor Sports Centre is looking for a dedicated and energetic **Sports Coach/Umpire** to join our team Positions are available Monday-Friday afternoons/Evenings

**About Us**:
Maitland Indoor Sports Centre offer a wide range of indoor sporting activities including Netball, Soccer, and Cricket. We are committed to providing a fun and safe environment for all participants, from beginners to advanced athletes.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Officiate and umpire various indoor sports (Cricket, Soccer, Netball, Gymnastics etc.) in accordance with official rules and regulations.
- Provide coaching support to individuals or teams during training sessions.
- Offer guidance, encouragement, and motivation to players.
- Ensure the sports centre is safe and properly maintained before, during, and after games.
- Handle any disputes or issues on the court with professionalism and in a calm manner.
- Assist in the setup and pack up of equipment for games and events.

**Essential Skills and Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a Coach or Umpire.
- Strong knowledge of sports rules and regulations (Cricket, Netball, Soccer, Gymnastics etc.).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and resolve conflicts fairly and effectively.
- Passion for sports and working with diverse age groups and skill levels.
- Must be punctual, reliable, and committed to maintaining a positive attitude.

**Payment**:

- All coaching positions and umpiring fixtures are paid
- Umpiring is considered non-taxable income
- Coaching is taxable income
- Coaching staff are paid minimum 2 hours for all sessions
- Coaches receive superannuation payment

**Requirements**:

- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Current Working with Children Check
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Specialised knowledge and experience in their selected sport/s
- Those with an elite level of playing experience are also strongly encouraged to apply

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 10 per week

Schedule:

- Afternoon shift
- Evening shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Umpiring: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- RSA (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
