**Our team**: Pearson Assessment Servicesprovide a comprehensive suite of services to accommodate the secure printing, packing, distribution, data capture and marking for our clients/projects throughout Australia and Internationally. Our highlight is our national assessment services is Pearson’s delivery of services for the NAPLAN program in various states and territories. We are responsible for the delivery of large-scale assessment and deliver both paper and online assessments to hundreds of thousands of students each year.

**The role**:As an Software Test Analyst, you will be joining one of our cross-functional scrum teams and will play a key role in the development of our international projects. This role report into our Director of Assessment Systems & Platforms. You will build, develop and implement product features from beginning to end and play a pivotal role in bringing our product vision to life by executing on deliverables across all aspects.

**What you'll do in this role**:

- Be accountable for QA & UAT test governance, QA & UAT plans, test cases, test summary reports
- Plan and coordinate Business Verification Testing (BVT) activities
- Perform tests utilising both automated and manual software testing process
- Writing, maintaining, and executing manual and automated test scripts
- Maintaining test plans and defects using a test management tool
- Essential to have knowledge on Atlassian suite of tools, JIRA, One-Confluence, BitBucket
- Familiar with the DevSecOps model
- Plan and drive static security vulnerability testing element of the software development life cycle
- Own the CI/CD pipeline for QA and UAT deployments
- Experience with SQL and databases for test setup and troubleshooting
- Participate in daily stand-ups, iteration demos and iteration retrospectives

**To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have skills and experience with the following**:

- Provide regular updates to test manager, communicate test metrics, progress, efficiency and blockers
- Produce relevant technical documentation to capture assumptions, key business rules, Use Case diagrams as appropriate
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Coordinating the workflow between the graphic designer, backend team and yourself
- Facilitate the definition of acceptance criteria with project team and key stakeholders
- Good communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to work well in a team or on you own.
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.
- Microsoft Certificate highly regarded.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
