Menzies Aviation is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our team as a Ramp Services Manager. This pivotal role requires a proven leader with a strong background in ground handling services within aviation, who can elevate the ramp services operations to new heights. As the Ramp Services Manager, you will be responsible for driving and optimising the day-to-day ramp operations, ensuring seamless coordination, efficiency, and safety in all aspects of ground handling.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage a team responsible for ramp and baggage ground handling services.
- Drive day-to-day operational performance, ensuring safety, security, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure operational procedures consistently meet quality and performance standards
- Maximise service delivery while effectively managing costs to enhance profitability
- Achieve ground handling service objectives by monitoring, reporting, and evaluating performance.
- Plan and implement staffing and training requirements, fostering skill development.
- Assess staff performance, conduct appraisals, and address disciplinary matters as needed.
- Build a customer-focused, skilled, and cohesive workforce through involvement and development strategies.
- Maintain consistent adherence to client ground handling standards.
- Uphold a high level of presentation to meet company standards.
- Establish and monitor effective relationships with subcontractors, airport authorities, and government agencies.
- Allocate resources within budgetary limits to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure personnel receive required initial and recurring training, promoting continuous improvement.
- Regularly conduct independent safety audits and observations.
- Act as the primary point of contact and liaison for client airlines, ensuring positive working relationships are maintained.
- Hold tertiary qualifications or possess extensive experience, including substantial experience in a leadership position in Ground Services, encompassing above and below-wing operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse workforce, displaying strong decision-making skills while overseeing a large team.
- Proven track record in organisational and project management, with effective planning and execution capabilities.
- A sound understanding of Industrial Relations and relevant Industrial Instruments, ensuring compliance and effective employee management.
- Strong communication skills, with demonstrated leadership and coaching abilities.
- Well-developed problem-solving and decision-making skills, underpinned by integrity, discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Strong understanding of company policies and procedures.
- Possess strong knowledge of customer airline systems.
- Strong understanding of government regulations pertaining to the aviation industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate team efforts, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Proficiency in computer usage and Microsoft Office Management Suite.
