**Your role**:
You will lead a small team of FFT practitioners that deliver this evidence based program to support families whose children have been involved in Youth Justice.

FFT is an evidenced based model of behaviour change, that is therapeutically focussed, which aims to provide all family members with skills and knowledge to improve family communication, parenting skills and conflict management.

The aim of the program being to improve family communication and dynamics, creating positive and nurturing family environments for young people aged 11-17 who have been involved in Youth Justice.

FFT focusses on reducing recidivism by interrupting negative patterns of behaviour that can lead to escalations within family units.

**Make Your Mark.**
- Lead a small team whilst also holding your own reduced caseload in line with FFT guidelines.
- Supervise multi-disciplinary staff providing coaching and feedback.
- Lead team meetings and reflective practice sessions as well as weekly supervision.
- Working with families, in an outreach capacity, in home sessions.
- Experience and knowledge of the Youth Justice system or working with at risk adolescents.
- Working with families with complex needs, including trauma, mental health, AOD, and family violence.
- Use your positive, strength based communication skills to rapidly build relationships and rapport with families.
- Reduce conflict and to increase hope within family environments.
- Identify how family interactions can affect behaviour.
- Recognise and engage with family’s formal and informal support networks.
- With our commitment to continual improvement and learning through training and supervision.

**Qualifications**:
A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, and/or a related degree in behavioural sciences OR applicants with Diploma of Community Services may be considered if they also are able to demonstrate significant experience levels working with families.

**Make A Move**:

- A salary at SCHCADS level 7 which equates to around $117,473 plus super.
- This is senior level salary offering excellent remuneration.
- Intensive supervision, feedback and training in Functional Family Therapy.
- Based at our office in Broadmeadows.
- Full time, permanent.
- Hybrid work available.
- Second language of Arabic preferrable.
- Program covers north and west metro, program is funded by Dept of Justice.
