Stem Educator

**Position**: STEM Educator

This role offers full training and provides an excellent entry point for those looking to **kickstart their career in education and technology.**

**Role Type**: Casual
**Availability**: School holidays and after-school shifts are available
**Start Date**: As soon as practical
**Suitable for**: CS/IT undergraduates looking for part-time work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Understand and execute procedures of the Robothink franchise, including centre setup and presentation.
- Prepare classrooms before lessons to ensure an optimal learning environment.
- Lead and engage groups of young children (ages 5-15) during school holiday camps and after-school classes.
- Effectively communicate with students, parents, and team members.
- Explain coding concepts effectively using our simplified coding software and step-by-step curriculum.
- Deliver a high standard of care and education to all students.
- Attend paid staff meetings and professional development sessions.

**Characteristics and Qualifications**:

- Background in Coding, ideally block coding, Java, or Python (No tertiary qualifications required).
- Passion for STEM education and hands-on learning.
- Ability to connect and communicate effectively with students and parents.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to RoboThink's innovative teaching methods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

**Hours of Operation (as a guide)**:

- School Holiday Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
- After School Classes: Monday - Friday 3pm - 8pm.

**Requirements**:
Driving license is an additional benefit.

Expected hours: 5 - 20 per week
