**The Opportunity**

Orrcon Steel is looking for a Logistics Supervisor to be based at our operations in O'Sullivan Beach, South Australia. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally_ _recognised brands.

Supervising a high performing team, you will be focused on delivering exceptional service, developing strong working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders and championing a safety culture, including leading safety and productivity improvement projects. You will be required to coordinate with the scheduling teams as well as transport providers to ensure timely dispatch of customer orders.

**What Will You Do?**

Working with a supportive team, providing high levels of service to our customers and operations, you will
- ** lead the shift operations**:lead the shift operations team to achieve business targets and ensure operations are within standards, having regard for safety, environment, quality and costs
- ** dispatch and finished good movement**:plan, coordinate and control the dispatch and goods movement of material
- ** drive process improvement**:ensure that team members are working collaboratively to drive improvement of all logistics and operational processes
- ** collaborate with internal stakeholders**:work closely with our internal stakeholders including our transport, production and customer service teams to coordinate the most efficient and cost-effective delivery schedules for our customers
- ** build strong relationships**:forge strong relationships with suppliers, customers and other key stakeholders
- ** foster continuous improvement**:identify improvement opportunities and foster a continuous improvement environment

Your well-developed leadership experience with a focus on safety, people and continuous improvement will support your success. You will bring:

- previous involvement in an operational role and /or logistics environment
- effective work planning and operational project management skills
- demonstrated ability to meet operational requirements in accordance with standards and policy across technical, scheduling and people demands including managing labour hire resources
- interpersonal skills, effective communications, coaching, influencing skills and decision-making are required and can be developed in the role
- a customer-centric approach with a strong commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience
- excellent analytical skills with strong capability to learn new systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Excel)
- a commitment to your own safety and wellbeing while caring for others
