We are seeking a highly organised and motivated **Workshop Controller** to lead our workshop team, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate the daily workflow in the workshop, managing technician schedules and job allocations.
- Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
- Liaise between service advisors, technicians, and customers to provide clear communication on vehicle repairs and progress.
- Monitor job progress, ensuring timely completion and efficient use of resources.
- Oversee quality control checks and test driving of vehicles before customer delivery.
- Manage workshop productivity and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist with diagnosing complex technical issues when needed and support the team with technical guidance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with all dealership policies and procedures.

**About You**:

- Proven experience in a **workshop controller or senior technician** role within the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff and customers.
- High level of mechanical knowledge and understanding of Volkswagen vehicles (preferred).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong focus on customer service and maintaining high-quality work standards.
- Proficient with automotive software systems (e.g., dealership management systems).
