Exciting Operational Support position within a large Federal Government Department - 12-month contract

**Your new company**
Work in a large Federal Government Department with a great work culture, a strong team drive and the ability to support flexible working arrangements. You'll be within the business unit responsible for coordinating with other business areas across the Digital Transformation Division (DTD) to support the delivery of any changes to the Departments' national systems. The Change Office provides support and guidance from the beginning of a proposed change request throughout the lifecycle of the change to the delivery in a system release. Additionally, the section has an operational team which supports ongoing access to systems, including supporting incident and defect management from a business perspective.

**Your new role**
- Mailbox management for the team (triage and allocation of requests to relevant team members)
- Triaging service request tickets and actioning these via the admin user interface
- Maintaining and updating service management frameworks including updating process flows and the steps in each supporting standard operating procedure
- Working with business to understand incident and defect prioritisation and managing expectations between business and IT
- Support cross-business and IT working groups (in some cases, chairing these meetings)
- Supporting, reviewing and maintaining user access to systems
- Ability to coordinate / manage completion of work which at times may be assigned to multiple teams

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Understanding of service delivery (incident management, defect management, release process) at a high-level
- Strong stakeholder management skills both for our internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent Communication Skills (both oral and written). Experience in writing briefs and minutes would be an advantage
- Proficient in use of MS Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio
- Good team player and ‘can do’ attitude
- Experience working in a similar environment or help desk setting would be advantageous
- This position requires a Baseline Security clearance
