Investment Data Specialist

This role will initially work within the Investment Product data domain. The Investment Product domain includes fund profiles for all Vanguard funds, daily and periodic performance and valuation data and fund analytics. The data is used by a wide range of internal and external consumers. This role will manage the data lifecycle of investment product data, from data suppliers through to our consumers. This role will oversee the daily ingestion, validation and dissemination of fund valuation and performance data. It will oversee the calculation and dissemination of daily and periodic valuations and analytics. The role will help to support fund launches, fund events for AU and global products. This role is based in Melbourne, within the global Investment Data Operations team. This team is a 24 by 6 operations, with Crew across three regions (Americas, Europe and Australia).

**Team & Opportunity**

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join our Investment Data Operations team, focusing initially on the **Investment Product data domain**. This domain encompasses fund profiles for all Vanguard funds, including daily and periodic performance metrics, valuation data, and fund analytics. These datasets are critical to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

In this role, you will take ownership of the **end-to-end data lifecycle** for investment product data—from managing relationships with data suppliers to ensuring seamless delivery to our consumers.

You’ll play a key role in:

- Overseeing the **daily ingestion, validation, and distribution** of fund valuation and performance data.
- Managing the **calculation and dissemination** of daily and periodic valuations and analytics.
- Supporting **fund launches and key fund events** across both Australian and global products.

This position is based in **Melbourne** and is part of Vanguard’s **global Investment Data Operations team**, which operates 24/6 across three regions: the Americas, Europe, and Australia. You’ll collaborate with a diverse and experienced team of professionals committed to data excellence and operational efficiency.

1. Provides data domain aligned support to front office, middle office and other enterprise data clients and stakeholders to enhance investment decisions and fund oversight. Serves as the point of contact for consumers for investment data related inquires and partners with internal teams to ensure integrity of investment and fund data. Completes daily and ad hoc tasks while working under tight deadlines, managing competing priorities, and analyzing multiple inputs to meet operational objectives.

2. Provides oversight of operational activities to ensure accurate and timely data delivery. Analyzes and resolves complex data issues supporting Data Management as a process expert per assigned data domain.

3. Proactively identifies and leads process enhancement initiatives to gain efficiencies and improve quality. Recognizes and resolves roadblocks to maximize team impact. Reviews and performs root cause analysis of data errors and provides short-term and long-term solutions for issues, elevating issues when appropriate.

4. Provides direct client support to enhance business decisions, anticipating client's needs and exceeding expectations related to the services being provided. Lev
