**About the Role**
**Welcome to Autumn Therapy**
We are a warm, values-led speech pathology practice dedicated to empowering individuals of all ages to communicate, connect, and thrive. From speech and language therapy to AAC and literacy support, our goal is to walk alongside families and individuals as they achieve meaningful progress.
As we grow, we’re looking for a **Therapy Assistant** who shares our passion for person-centred care and is eager to work closely with our Speech Pathologist across a variety of settings, including our **Midland base, homes, schools, and community locations**.
**About the Role**
You’ll be supporting children and young people with communication needs through:
- Delivering therapy sessions under the guidance of a Speech Pathologist
- Supporting speech, language, social communication, play, and AAC goals
- Assisting with therapy materials, session preparation and progress tracking
- Travelling to homes, schools, and the community to provide meaningful, functional support
This role offers hands-on experience and mentorship in a supportive, neuroaffirming and inclusive environment that values flexibility, growth and wellbeing.
**What We’re Looking For**
- Passion for working with children and supporting communication
- Completion of a Therapy Assistant course (highly regarded)
- Experience working as a Therapy Assistant (highly regarded)
- Currently completing a Bachelor or Masters in an Allied Health Degree (highly regarded)
- Background or interest in allied health, education, disability, or child development
- Reliable car and valid driver’s licence (essential)
- WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication skills
- Organised, adaptable, and open to learning new things
