We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Compositor for two different clients, each of whom are based in NSW. If this is you, then you'll have significant experience compositing to plate and creating photoreal VFX for film, TV, and commercial projects, and the reel to show your skills.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and mentor a team of compositors to achieve the highest quality work and meet project deadlines
- Work closely with the VFX Supervisor and other departments to ensure that shots are delivered on time and to the client's satisfaction
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the project's creative and technical requirements
- Perform (or assist others in performing) complex compositing tasks such as keying, rotoscoping, and tracking to integrate all VFX elements into live-action plates
- Create photorealistic VFX, including environments, creatures, and effects
- Ensure that all VFX shots are of the highest possible quality and are completed on time
- Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot any issues that arise during production
- Communicate effectively with the VFX Supervisor, producers, and artists to ensure that the project stays on track and within budget

**Requirements**:

- At least 5 years of experience in the visual effects industry, with a focus on compositing.
- If you have not been a Lead before, several years experience as a Senior.
- Strong knowledge of Nuke compositing software
- Experience working on feature films, TV shows.
- Strong understanding of compositing techniques, including keying, rotoscoping, and tracking
- Ability to create photorealistic VFX using 3D elements, particles, and other tools
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
