An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented, self-motivated, commercially oriented Assistant Category Manager to join our Foodservice Team

Reporting to the Category Manager, this role will see you using market data & research to create insights that inform our 5 year channel development & customer growth strategies. You will develop tactics & execute plans across local Chain accounts that deliver mutually profitable & sustainable category growth.

**About the Role**
- Lead the Insights to Proposition process for the Foodservice/Quick Service Restaurant business, identifying key insights that inform & develop our category/channel strategy leading to profitable top-line growth
- Map the FS/QSR market across 3 year horizon in order to develop & grow the category, aiding in the design of the strategic roadmap by customer channel & sub channel
- Support in gaining new business & developing existing partnerships by jointly collaborating with the Sales & Marketing to conduct research, developing insights to inform and execute against strong commercial plans
- Assist with mix management and the portfolio review process, including supporting innovation projects with size of prize, channel strategy and performance metrics
- Support the annual brand planning process working collaboratively the Foodservice Marketing Managers and Sales Team to maximise performance and ensuring alignment to channel strategy
- Work with the Assistant Category Manager - Channel Activation in order to drive channel, category & customer strategy where required

**About You**
- Relevant degree qualification, with previous experience in category management, insights or marketing is preferable
- Working knowledge of FMCG industry & route to market process
- Attention to detail paired with demonstrated ability to analyse complex data & make recommendations
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead and work in cross-functional teams to execute an agreed commercial plan
- Prior use experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems & a strong ability to learn new systems quickly
- Create compelling, insights led initiatives that have an enormous impact on our Category Growth & drive success in this exciting role
