**About the Opportunity**

Reporting to the General Manager (GM) - Operations Execution, the Head of Operational Services & Support is accountable for managing the provision of multiple operational services to support the Operations team executing the Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) Program. The role is a Senior Leadership position, directly supporting the GM Operations Execution, to ensure we deliver on strategy and achieve operational excellence. The position will act as the state-based operations representative in South Australia, working closely with the business and the Operations/CCSM Program lead team.

The portfolio includes the following functions:

- Operational Facilities management
- Operational Subcontractor management
- Operational Administrative Support
- Operations Workforce management

The leadership of these functions is key to ensuring the ongoing availability of operations activities and consistency across ASC operations and sites. The timely provision of these services and management of the associated budget will be key to the success of the CCSM Sustainment Program.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide site-based senior leadership in South Australia in support of the GM Operations Execution and overall CCSM Program objectives
- Contribute to ensuring the successful undertaking and completion of all operational elements of the CCSM Program, including through aligning activities with ASC’s strategy and assisting ASC to meet any relevant contractual deliverables
- Working within the CCSM Program leadership team, maintaining a strategic perspective of the entire business and considering a wide range of longer-term issues, opportunities and risks to ensure ongoing business success
- Provide direct leadership to the leaders of these functions, ensuring team members are provided with direction and attainable yet challenging performance targets.

**About You**
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Management, or similar
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a senior operational, project management or engineering role, preferably in Defence / shipbuilding
- Experience managing multi-disciplined resources across multiple work sites
- Demonstrated performance in developing strong, outcome focused multidiscipline teams and an ability to identify and implement interventions and high-quality solutions
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills and an ability to establish and maintain key stakeholder relationships
- Experience in a complex Project Environment where work is constrained by budget and schedule

**Eligibility**

This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
