Apprentice Butcher

Based in North Beach, our client has an excellent career opportunity available for someone wanting to work towards becoming a qualified Butcher. To be considered for this position you must have a genuine interest in the meat industry, be willing to learn, committed and reliable.

The role would be ideally suited for someone who has a love of food preparation (as they have ovens onsite) but looking to work friendlier hours.

**Duties**:

- Front counter sales and customer interaction
- Learning knife skills
- Learning how to correctly process various meats including cutting, dicing, mincing and slicing
- Preparing of all meat products and creating new flavour and meal ideas for WOW the customers
- Cleaning procedures

In return you will be given the opportunity to work towards completing a nationally recognised qualification in Butchering.

Skills & Qualities Required:

- Eager to start a career in Butchery
- Any previous experience in food preparation or confidence with knife skills would be an advantage, but not essential
- Hardworking and reliable
- Excellent presentation
- Applicants must be able to work Monday to Friday.

Drivers licence is not essential as long as you can get to the business reliably by 7.30am each day.
