Financial Reporting Analyst

The role is responsible for financial oversight of the capital works program, including the
tracking, monitoring and reporting of the financial status of capital projects.
Spefcially, the role will support the preparation of milestone and quarterly reports for
WestInvest projects, contributing financial information to Project Management Office, and
regular reports to the Executive Leadership Team.
The role supports the achievement of a financially sustainable Council through financial
oversight of the capital works program.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the tracking, monitoring and reporting of the financial status of the Capital Works
Program to provide a regular accurate record of progress that supports informed action
where needed. This includes but is not limited to:
- Financial monitoring of projects against milestones and budget, investigating any
major variances
- Monitoring and identification of financial risks
- Ensuring requests for variations to budget are recorded
- Analyse proposed budget variances to ensure integrity of annual budget is
maintained and all budget proposals continue to reflect a financially sustainable
position
- Undertake research and analyse data to identify any emerging issues and inform
recommendations
- Development and presentation preparation of progress reports and dashboards to
Executive Leadership Team and other internal stakeholders
- Support preparation of activity / milestone acquittal reports and quarterly reports
for WestInvest projects, contributing financial information to the Project
Management Office
- Oversee allocation and reporting on WestInvest project management and
contingency allocations

financial monitoring and reporting on projects in accordance with BMCC’s Project
Management and Governance Framework, including:
- Support project health checks and risk assessments

informal teams, and facilitate positive outcomes with a wide range of internal
stakeholders
- Contribute to improving business processes, training, and systems development
- Prepare reports, business papers, briefings, correspondence and memos as relevant
- Assist with management of corporate priority projects as required

**Workplace Health & Safety**
