Shipping Clerk

AK Reels is an Australian Made and Owned plastics manufacturer, established in 1992 and we pride ourselves on our industry leading innovation and have the opportunity for a new member to join our production team.

AK Reels is currently seeking a shipping Clarke / assembler for work within the plastics manufacturing industry. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join a close knit production team for our Thomastown factory.

Working within a GMP environment you would be required to book shipping and assemble products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Quality checking products or packing duties are also required tasks.

To be successful in this role, you must:

- Have preferred experience of working in a shipping department / production environment
- Be physically fit and capable of lifting up to 25kgs
- Have good time management skills
- In house training and advancement opportunities.
- A team player working with others and job sharing
- Have good mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail
- Demonstrate the ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions
- Have required PPE - steel capped boots and high visibility clothing
- Have a valid driver's license and own transport
- Desirable to have a valid forklift license.
- Be available to work Monday - Friday ongoing
- Those with 15 years of work in an allied industry / experience or more preferred.

On offer is ongoing 2-5 day working week consisting of 8 hours a day, with start times from 9:00am.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
