Workday Technical Specialist

About the Role

Team Global Express (TGE) are seeking the support of an experienced Workday Technical Specialist to join our team based at Karrawatha. The purpose of this role is to support and optimise Team Global Express’ (TGE) HRIS investment. You will partner with stakeholders and users to define business requirements and design solutions to meet their needs.

You will work to identify opportunities for automation and optimisation of processes, liaise with IT vendors on system support and development, undertakes regular system performance reviews and contributes to process redesign and change activities to ensure business adoption.

This role contributes to the experience lifecycle through business enablement and continuous enhancement of the TGE experience.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

- System Testing - Design and perform system tests and respond to user defects, diagnose, and correct performance issues.
- Personal Capability Building - Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfil personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
- Data Management - Manage key aspects of the data management system. This includes being responsible for developing or operating key elements of the system.
- Databases Installation - Install and test the most complex databases and associated products to ensure they are suitable for use and meet customer requirements.
- Data Architecture - Oversee data collection mechanisms and how they fit into data architecture, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Information Security - Lead in detecting and analysing security incidents including attacks, breaches, and identified vulnerabilities and remediate any security gaps in line with the security incident management procedure.
- Business Requirements Identification - Elicit complex business requirements using a variety of methods such as interviews, document analysis, workshops, and workflow analysis to express the requirements in terms of target user roles and goals.
- Documentation and Back up - Create and maintain technical and/or user documentation to a high standard and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur.
- Internal Client Relationship Management - Contribute to the management of partnering relationships with internal clients, building effective working relationships and providing high-quality professional services to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
- Organisational Capability Building - Provide coaching to team members to develop their skills.
- Solutions Analysis - Analyse specific problems and issues to find the best solutions. Solutions could be technical or professional in nature.

- Previous technical experience using the Workday or similar HRIS system;
- 1-2 years experience of HRIS system configuration;
