The Role

Our Chelsea Heights site is located in Melbourne’s south-east, manufacturing a range of more than 44 milk, milk-based beverages and cream products. The site currently produces around 100 million litres of product every year

The Stores and Purchasing Coordinator ensures the smooth operation of the purchasing and materials stores functions, meeting the requirements of production, operations, and maintenance teams. You will be the “go-to” person, with all engineering related purchasing and ordering. You appreciate a high level of work ethic and can influence and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a related role is critical as well as using SAP. This role is based on site 5 days a week.

Responsibilities- Manage purchasing and inventory tasks, raising purchase requisitions and converting them purchase orders.- Ensure materials and equipment are procured and available to meet the team’s operational requirements.- Stock replenishment of inventory items, purchasing of Work Order & Project related parts/services. Receival and receipting of inwards goods.- Maintain accurate records and provide detailed reports to senior management.- Working closely with the team to understand the criticality of parts and stock holding policies; Rotation of stock, stock takes & cycle counting.

About you- Experience in an inventory /stores/purchasing role- Background in mechanical trades or trades assistance highly regarded- Previous experience using SAP, raising Pos and receipting of goods- Accurate, detailed and forward-thinking person- Ability to negotiate favourable pricing and contract terms with suppliers
