**Role Description/Criteria**

At Emmaus we hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children as a central and fundamental responsibility of our school.

Visual Arts is an important curriculum area at Emmaus. We believe in educating the whole child - academically, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually. We also believe in supporting children to be creative, problem solvers and critical thinkers. The applicant will possess the understandings, skills and ability to implement high expectations for all.

We are looking for a Visual Arts teacher who could teach Art on Wednesdays and Thursdays for the rest of this year. **The applicant would be required to be flexible and able to work and plan collaboratively as part of our Arts team.**

In addition, successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate:

- commitment to the Catholic Ethos, the principles of Catholic teaching and an ability to live the school's vision
- commitment to the Emmaus Child Safe Policy and the Staff Code of Conduct
- commitment to the ongoing professional learning and the continuing development of a positive school culture
- an ability to communicate positively and effectively with all stakeholders in the school community
- an understanding of inclusion and the ability to include
- a willingness to use data to inform differentiation for all
- a passion for teaching and learning and a willingness to engage, motivate and challenge all learners.

Special Requirements
- current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration
- the applicant would be required to work on Wednesdays and Thursdays
- include 3 referees including your current principal
