**What You Will Be Doing**
This is a dynamic, challenging and rewarding position, based at Frankston Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker looking to develop their career in health.
The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to provide patient centred care in a fast-paced acute hospital setting, they will have well developed organisational competencies, advocacy skills and the ability to develop and support strong partnerships both internally and externally to Peninsula Health.
Applicants must be eligible for membership of the AASW.
Key Responsibilities
- Be accountable for the provision of high quality social work service to in order to improve the health and wellbeing of people living on the Mornington Peninsula.
- Complete psychosocial assessments & deliver Social Work interventions.
- Work collaboratively patients, families, colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve great outcomes.
- Demonstrate sound clinical reasoning in the provision of clinical care.
**What You Need**
We anticipate you will have:
- Member of (or eligibility for) membership of the AASW
- Two or more years post-qualifying professional experience in a hospital or related setting (Applications considered from Grade 1 Social Work staff with 18 months or more hospital experience).
- Sound comprehensive assessment and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
- Current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain at own expense
