**About Your Role**

Reprocessing (sterilising) is a multi-step process that includes cleaning, inspection and assembly, functional testing, disinfection, packaging and labelling, and sterilisation.

This process is required to ensure reusable medical devices (RMD) are treated appropriately to prevent the transmission of infectious agents between patients.

Sterilisation Technicians are part of the perioperative team and work in accordance with the MLHD Reprocessing Quality Management System.
