We are working to restore critically endangered rainforest. As we grow and take on larger and larger regeneration projects, we need to build strong and skilled teams across our departments - bush regeneration, tree planting, tree maintenance/aftercare, nursery, and administration. **About the role** You will join our passionate team in undertaking various field-based tasks to return degraded land back into healthy, diverse rainforest. Each day you will build on your ecological knowledge and play an essential role in large-scale ecosystem restoration. - Casual position, 3-5 days preferred (Mon-Fri) - Flexible week-to-week availability - Byron Shire NSW, various sites within 1 hour drive of Mullumbimby - $29 - $33 p/h + 10.5% superannuation - Opportunities for career growth **Responsibilities** Nursery - seed collecting, species identification, seed germination, potting up, watering, moving stock to support the supply of native plants for reforestation **Essential Skills & Qualifications** - Passion or interest for the environment and restoring ecosystems - Physical fitness in an outdoor setting, strong work ethic, and self-motivated - Enjoy working in a team, and have the ability to contribute to a healthy team environment - Practical knowledge of WHS policies and procedures, risk management practice and principles - Strong attention to detail, including organisation values and policies **Desired Skills & Qualifications** - Qualifications in Conservation and/or Land Management, Bush Regeneration, Horticulture, Landscaping, Ecology, Environmental Science or similar - Experience in industry; bush regeneration, vegetation management, horticulture, nursery, landscaping, or relevant land management roles - Current First Aid Training - ChemCert (chemical handling) and/or willingness to backpack spray - White Card (construction induction) **Job Type**: Casual **Salary**: $29.00 - $33.00 per hour Schedule: - Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: - Byron Bay NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required) Work Authorisation: - Australia (required)
