**The Project**

CPB Contractors and DT Infrastructure in a joint venture have been successful in securing the $1.18 billion design and construction contract for the Warringah Freeway upgrade. This crucial upgrade will make the Warringah Freeway more efficient and reliable through upgrading four kilometres of the Warringah Freeway, between High Street at North Sydney and Willoughby Road at Naremburn, works also include connections to the future Western Harbour Tunnel and Beaches Link tunnel projects.

The Warringah Freeway is one of the nation’s busiest and most complex road corridors and as Sydney continues to grow, the upgrade will make trips more efficient and reliable for the drivers who use it every day. Works are scheduled to commence late 2021 with the main work to start early next year. Construction is expected to take approximately five years to complete.

**Your opportunity**

We are seeking to appoint an experienced **Safety Advisor** to support the Warringah Freeway Upgrade based in North Sydney, NSW. As a Safety Advisor, you will support the project in achieving optimum safety outcomes. This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your previous success, learnings and knowledge, gained from a successful health and safety career, whilst mentoring staff and sub-contractors to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

- Experience working on construction projects in a safety-related position - ideally in civil or rail
- High level of skill in conducting and interpreting audits and reviews
- High level of skill and experience in developing, analysing and reporting on complex project performance
- Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills
- Capability and experience in delivering training in high-risk activities such as working at heights, confined space, and rescue training
- The ability to engage with subcontractors, and to communicate with people at all levels to ensure safety and compliance in relation to CPB Contractors’ requirements.
