**Full job description**

Looking for casual position with transition to a full time position

Job Functions:

- Build and prime Autotransfusion devices
- Ensures appropriate set up and break down of equipment in operating rooms.
- Provide autologous blood recovery
- Manages Autotransfusion supplies and equipment inventory
- Maintain optimal communication, close cooperation, and consultation with surgeons and anaesthetic team during delivery of services
- Assist with the transport of equipment and gain understanding of new equipment or processes, where applicable
- Maintain proficiency with the operation and maintenance of a variety of autologous blood equipment and procedures such as autologous cell salvage
- Maintain appropriate, timely, and accurate documentation including pre-procedure checklist and filing of all records
- Assist in the education, orientation, and training of new staff
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

- Medical students are welcome
- Experience at hospital/s or operating theatre preferred
- Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and chemistry
- Basic knowledge of hospital operations and regulatory requirements

Prerequisites
- Valid driver's license
- Own a car

Pay: $26.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekend availability
